Im neu eingerichteten Fotoraum des <strong>Museum Ludwig<\/strong> in K\u00f6ln werden ihre Arbeiten nun zusammen mit denen von <strong>Joseph Rodr\u00edguez<\/strong> gezeigt.<\/p>\n<p>Angelehnt ist die Ausstellung an die Schau \u201eNew Documents\u201c, die Kurator <strong>John Szarkowski<\/strong> im Jahr 1967 im MoMA pr\u00e4sentierte. Damals zeigte er drei relativ junge und wenig bekannte Positionen, die sich jedoch in den folgenden Jahrzehnten zu wichtigen Protagonisten in der Fotokunst entwickeln sollten: Lee Friedlander, <strong>Diane Arbus<\/strong> und Garry Winogrand. Die drei standen f\u00fcr eine neue Generation von Fotografen mit deutlich anderen Zielen als ihre mahnenden Vorg\u00e4nger aus den 1930er bis 1950er Jahren: Bis zu <strong>Robert Franks<\/strong> legend\u00e4rem \u201eThe Americans\u201c war es die Aufgabe der Dokumentarfotografie, die Welt zu zeigen, wie sie ist beziehungsweise was falsch in ihr l\u00e4uft, um das Interesse an einer
