Mal zeichnete das Deutsche Komitee des Kinderhilfswerks mit dem <strong>Unicef-Foto des Jahres<\/strong> herausragende internationale Fotografien aus, die die Situation und Rechte von Kindern dokumentieren.<\/p>\n<p>In diesem Jahr sind allerdings gleich zwei Fotos auf den ersten Platz gew\u00e4hlt worden, was auch als politische Entscheidung verstanden werden kann: Zum einen wurde das Portr\u00e4t des achtj\u00e4hrigen Stav aus Israel gew\u00e4hlt, zum anderen das Doppelportr\u00e4t der elfj\u00e4hrigen Dareen und ihres f\u00fcnfj\u00e4hrigen Bruders Kinan aus Pal\u00e4stina.<\/p>\n<p>Stav ist einer der \u00dcberlebenden des \u00dcberfalls der Hamas auf die Siedlung des Moschav Netiv HaAsara am 7. Oktober 2023. Das Foto wurde von der israelischen Fotografin <strong>Avishag Shaar-Yashuv<\/strong> in einem Hotel im Kibbuz Maale HaHamisha aufgenommen.\u00a0Das Doppelportr\u00e4t der Geschwister stammt von der pal\u00e4stinensischen Fotografin <strong>Samar Abu Elouf<\/strong> und ist Teil der Arbeit \u201eWounded children of Gaza\u201c. Die Eltern der beiden Kinder wurden zusammen mit 70 weiteren Familienmitgliedern bei einem israelischen Luftangriff auf ein Wohnhaus get\u00f6tet \u2013 sie sind die einzigen \u00dcberlebenden ihrer Familie.
