Juli er\u00f6ffnet das <strong>Rencontres de la Photographie<\/strong> im s\u00fcdfranz\u00f6sischen Arles &#8211; das \u00e4lteste und eines der bedeutendsten Fotografiefestivals der Welt. Im vergangenen Jahr musste es wegen der Corona-Pandemie kurzfristig abgesagt werden, 2021 geht es aber nun wieder los: Selbstverst\u00e4ndlich mit einem entsprechenden Sicherheits- und Hygienekonzept und mit einigen Einschr\u00e4nkungen und Programmk\u00fcrzungen, aber fast komplett ohne digitale Veranstaltungen: Lediglich das <strong>Portfolio-Review<\/strong> wird virtuell stattfinden. Verzichten m\u00fcssen die Besucher allerdings auf den Fotobuchmarkt und wahrscheinlich auch auf die Partys. Au\u00dferdem wird es im beliebten Amphitheater nur drei Abendveranstaltungen und auch nur mit Einlassbeschr\u00e4nkungen geben.<\/p>\n<p>F\u00fcr die ProfiFoto sprach ich mit dem neuen Direktor <strong>Christoph Wiesner<\/strong> \u00fcber das Festival in Zeiten einer Pandemie, warum er w\u00e4hrend der ersten Corona-Welle seinen Job als Chef der weltgr\u00f6\u00dften Fotokunstmesse <strong>Paris Photo<\/strong> aufgegeben hat, das neue Design des Festivals und welchen Einfluss seine Expertise des Kunstmarktes f\u00fcr das Festival bedeuten wird.
