Dezember eine Ausstellung mit Vintage-Abz\u00fcgen von <strong>Karl Hugo Schm\u00f6lz<\/strong>. Unter dem Titel \u201eDie Stadt als B\u00fchne\u201c demonstriert die Schau, wie Schm\u00f6lz seine Umgebung wahrnahm: Seine Ansichten wirken oft realer als real und bisweilen unwirklich sch\u00f6n &#8211; so wie auf seinen Fotos hat man die Architektur der Zeit jedenfalls selten erstrahlen sehen. Schm\u00f6lz schien geradezu besessen von der Linie, von Proportion und dem Willen nach gestalterischer Perfektion: In seinen Aufnahmen von Theatern, Kinos\u00e4len, Gesch\u00e4ften und Verwaltungsgeb\u00e4uden gibt es keinen st\u00f6renden Akzente, alles ist auf das Wesentliche reduziert. Dass Schm\u00f6lz (nat\u00fcrlich) in Schwarzwei\u00df gearbeitet hat, mag man manchmal bedauern \u2013 zu sch\u00f6n w\u00e4re es, k\u00f6nnte man diese Zeitreise in Farbe erleben. Gleichzeitig ist gerade dieses Schwarzwei\u00df ein Teil seines Geheimnisses, schlie\u00dflich l\u00e4sst es sich zum einen gestalterisch besser kontrollieren, zum anderen sind diese alten Vintages in ihrer technischen Brillanz un\u00fcbertroffen.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">Im Verlag <strong>Schirmer\/Mosel<\/strong> ist zudem das sehr empfehlenswerte Buch &#8222;K\u00f6ln &#8211; Architekturfotografien der f\u00fcnfziger Jahre&#8220; erschienen. Es versammelt Karl Hugo Schm\u00f6lz&#8216; Fotografien und verdeutlicht zudem eindr\u00fccklich, wie er nun als fehlendes Bindeglied der neu-sachlichen Fotografie im Rheinland zwischen <strong>August Sander<\/strong> und <strong>Bernd und Hilla Becher<\/strong> neu entdeckt wird (176 Seiten, 49,80 Euro).<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0cm;\">Links: <a
